This facility is one of only a few hospitals to earn this distinction from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Their doctors were instrumental in establishing Morristown Medical Center as a recognized center of excellence in spine surgery. This was a hospital and doctor effort to improve the care of spine patients through the establishment of a team approach to care. There is a dedicated spine unit with the dedicated nursing staff.
